Agreed. That little pet would be lunch in some countries. Leave your little buddy at home...unless it's a REAL service dog.
Why bring a dog in to a store? I think there are health code rules against bringing animals into grocery stores. Service animals should be fine but if they are not service animals, they do not need to be there.
