There's no such thing as being qualified to be a companion animal. All pets, by definition, are companion animals. If you mean your dog is an emotional support animal, you need a letter from a certified healthcare provider (eg your doctor or psychologist) stating that you need one. If your dog is a service animal (ie trained to perform a specific task, like a guide dog) the trainer would advise you on the certification process. Only bona fide service animals get certification.
You personally can get qualified for service animal, also another thing is it all depends on how you raise the dog to be a service animal ,controlled, safe, calm and there for you
