It is as much as it can be. There are lots of stairs inside that can't really be avoided if you want to see the castle so, you need to be able to do stairs (they do have handrails). The staff was very friendly and helpful about allowing me to go downstairs using the easier (carpeted) stairs after I toured the upstairs rooms. And I was able to get around pretty easily using my cane/walking stick. It can't be done with a wheelchair,. Worth the effort, though.
