When I moved from Boston to the Lakes Region, I figured my expectations to find comparable vet care needed to be lowered. And as a doctor myself, my standards and expectations can be high, which is why I have been so impressed by the Meadow Pond Animal Hospital. The quality of care has far surpassed what we experienced in a bigger city. Every interaction with staff, whether it has been Jeremy, Rae, Mary Anne, Faith, or Dr North or Dr Keenan or Dr Cote has been exceptionally positive.... I am so impressed by how they keep such positive attitudes through even the most difficult moments. When my daughter relocated to the area with her dog, I knew there was only one place we trusted to refer her. We are now multi-generation clients of Meadow Pond and are so grateful for their services.

I’m in total disbelief over how I was treated as a returning customer as well as the utter disregard for my chocolate lab, Penny, I was treated by Dr North (owner) and Dr Stowe, very hostile and unprofessional encounter yesterday afternoon. I would encourage you to please look to receive care for your pets at another veterinarian. They are inconsistent with told information and really not there to treat the pets, but to bully and argue with dog owners. During the discussion of what was going to be provided for my Penny, Dr Stowe helped herself to sticking my dog for blood without informing me and I couldn’t comfort her:( I am a nurse with over 20 years of experience and would never perform like that. This was just one of the terrible parts of the interaction. The visit ended abruptly at the hands of Dr North, as the kind male tech and Maryanne exited the exam room, they both were apologizing for the absolutely terrible service and experience with both Dr Stowe and Dr North RETORT to Dr. North (owner), it’s interesting that you would spend time to respond back to me so quickly when you were so irrate, impatient, unkind and hostile yesterday….thus I am compelled to clear up your embellishments on “grabbing a legal medical document from a doctor’s hand” which was actually a young female tech who handed me a pad that had lined paper on it, with a list of 4 items…. I arrived at my appointment at 4pm, called and they said someone will be right with me, 4:20, no response from inside, I called and they said “few more minutes”, I offered to reschedule my appointment, they said no it’s ok… 4:30 entered exam room, A side note, the day before I spent a good 20 minutes talking to Marianne about the appointment to alleviate any confusion about getting rabies vaccines and distemper fir both of my dogs, she never mentioned it would be a new pt visit (which apparently per Dr. North is the policy for any dog they haven’t seen in a year), Marianne also failed to mention that if the rabies information wasn’t available at the time of the visit, the dog would only be able to get a 1 yr vs a 3 yr rabies vaccine! Needless to say Dr. Stowe and Dr. North barked this information to me at the time of the visit! It went all down hill from there, Dr North pulled Marianne into the small office to continue to escalate the situation over a “rabies vaccine”, and so I ask if that was a new patient visit why wasn’t it treated as such? It was already 30 mins late and a place that was closing at 5pm There was no time taken to get to reknow and visit my dog, but as mentioned during the verbal skirmish, Dr. Stowe who was behind Dr North was then jumping in to draw blood, again done without telling me what she was doing at that time, which with the temperature of the exam room, felt very inappropriate to do! I was asked to leave by two highly agitated Drs over a vaccination! And then I ask Dr North if you were in the right, why were your staff apologizing to me as I left? The male tech even followed me out of the building with a treat for my dog because he felt badly about the incident! The bottom line is, save yourself and bring your beloved pets elsewhere… I’m not a business owner but my father was, and he said “the customer is always right”

They were great, took great care of our dog, and even squeezed him in for a minor procedure when our hometown vet was unable to see him.

I trust the staff at Meadow pond Animal Hopspital with Tito. I am always amazed at their professionalism and they go to great lengths to care for my senior boy, Tito age 17! They are knowledgeable and compassionate. I highly recommend them. Doctor Cote is his main veterinarian but he has seen everyone there!
