Yes but just like any other market you should always check the freshness dates. Sav a lot saves money by not using fancy displays, free bags, and others to keep their overhead down and they pass the savings on to their customers. It doesn't mean that the stores buy just any old thing like out of date meats etc. I've always found their meats, milk, eggs & other perishables to be of the utmost quality and freshness. They have meats same as Wal-Mart in fact I trust their meat more than Wal-Mart's. It's not butcher quailty niether is Walmart or WinnDixie etc...I will add they don't have a huge selection more basic
