Usually less expensive than most other stores Probably best value. Most items are store brand, not national brands. Meats are cheaper but I find them not top quality. Even the better cuts are usually pretty tough. Just got some rib steaks, they were hard to chew at medium rare. Best just stay with pork, chicken and ground beef.

If this location is the norm then Save A Lot's has upped it's game since I was kid. While off-brand items still populate the shelves, keeping prices on the low low, I feel the selection has grown several fold from that of years ago. This location met all of my personal criteria for price, selection, customer service, cleanliness and quality. Two reasons keep this from a five star rating and number one is a bit of a catch 22. With aisles ending so close to the check out lanes, the lines feel cramped...which is a byproduct of the aforementioned selection expansion. Customer service picks up that slack though, keeping the lines moving, no fast pass required. And the second small criticism is a bit petty in that these discount stores will never have a deli or bakery or other "perks" of their bigger cousins in the grocery game. That said, they do have fresh produce to greet the customer off the rip so truly no big gripes on my end..I will and have returned!

Im an Walmart shopper, but for an quick grab, I will stop by. Prices are good, I recycle my Walmart bags so no biggie. Grabbed some goodies today, I know Publix and other places are doing prepped meals but to be able to get it close to home and quick.

Yes but just like any other market you should always check the freshness dates. Sav a lot saves money by not using fancy displays, free bags, and others to keep their overhead down and they pass the savings on to their customers. It doesn't mean that the stores buy just any old thing like out of date meats etc. I've always found their meats, milk, eggs & other perishables to be of the utmost quality and freshness. Hope this helps!
