Does anyone know history of connely's chocolates in Salem mass back in the 80's? Did this company buy that business?

Ben Strohecker founded Harbor Sweets in 1973 in the basement of his Marblehead home when he created the Sweet Sloop. Harbor Sweets has been in the current Salem location since 1978. Harbor Sweets is not affiliated with Connely's Chocolate. https://www.harborsweets.com/40-year-history
