I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, however, the service was quite slow. So the only reason why it got 4 stars. The pull pork was absolutely delicious, however, very messy and bottom bun very soggy. It broke apart instantly. I liked it. My sister liked her fish and chips. UPDATE: owner comment back and I didn’t notice I put 3 stars. 4 stars! Thanks for the reply back! Keep up the great work regardless!

First time ever coming to The Lobster Shanty…All I can say is WOW! I ordered the fried shrimp and it was the best fried shrimp I ever ate. It was perfectly cooked and the flavor just melted in your mouth. Dale who was are bartender was great! Made are drinks perfect and was on-point! They even had great mock-tails for my pregnant wife! Now we have a go-to spot when we visit salem for the day!

This place is awesome! From the fun staff to the delicious food everything was great. We had the lobster rangoon and Connecticut lobster rolls. Everything came out great and tasted delicious. The pickled slaw was also really tasty!

Came here on a Wednesday night, loved it so much we came right back for lunch on Thursday! Our food was piping hot and everything was fresh and tasted fantastic. Both our servers were friendly and wicked fast! I got the fish & chips and if I could give this place 6/5 stars I would. Rock on shanty fam! Can’t wait to come back :)

Yes they are! But the entire town is very busy that month, so it will probably be a little bit of a wait for a table. But trust me when I say it's worth the wait!
As far as I know it opened by a group of guys in the late 1970s who sold it to Bill and Betty Kelly around 1980, after Betty passed Bill sold it to two employees, Michael Marxsen and David Driscoll who owned it for about 3 years and then sold it to Lee & Diane Wolf (that's me!) in 2007.
Idk the exact year but it's been there for about 30 years...
Yes they do
