Allison Shultz (Assistant Curator, Ornithology) says, "It is actually due to how crows socialize in different seasons. In winter, crows form large flocks (or murders!) at night, possibly for warmth. Now that it is spring, breeding is their main concern, so they tend to hang out in pairs for waiting and raising chicks." Hope this helps!
They migrate too hot for them in the summer. Its pretty commom for birds to move around to fit there favorite climate for mating .
