I live in the Miracle Mile North area. I've notice a sudden drastic reduction in the Crow population. Anyone have any ideas about the cause. two months ago, there were hundreds lining the wires in the morning. Now the most that I see is two.

Allison Shultz (Assistant Curator, Ornithology) says, "It is actually due to how crows socialize in different seasons. In winter, crows form large flocks (or murders!) at night, possibly for warmth. Now that it is spring, breeding is their main concern, so they tend to hang out in pairs for waiting and raising chicks." Hope this helps!
