Yes, though you should avoid using the flash. The intense light can damage some of the displays over time.

Yes. But if you decide for an actual camera, not only your phone you might want to add a good, strong polarized filter in front of your lens, most the displays and dioramas are behind glass, so you will have to deal with multiple reflections of the surroundings, including your reflection . Flash (if permitted by the museum) works only if the camera/flash is not perpendicularly to the glass. Flash does absolutelly no damage to any exponates, is just a made up urban legend, but can be annoying and disturbing to the visitors.
