They keep them in a similar way; just in cups. Many of us who buy from there are hobbyists and do so at our own risk. We know they do not offer refunds on fish that pass away shortly after purchase. Quarantine any fish in question and select the healthiest of the group for better chances of survival. With that being said, they have better prices and unique selections but big name stores will refund or credit your purchase if a fish dies. Can't beat the selection of betta they get in. The most expensive ones will be black orchid crown tails at around $20 everything else is $10 and under. Veiltails and regular female bettas will be several dollars. $2-3.99 range. Can't beat the hours. Open everyday until 10:00 PM. I know the owner and workers and I will sometimes come in on delivery days to sort through their shipments for the bettas I'm interested in.

From what I can tell 6th Ave takes very good care of all the fish. Never had any problems with anything I purchased there. No diseases and the fish lived for a long time.
