The Richmond District YMCA is the first gym I've actually enjoyed going to. I feel completely comfortable working out here. I haven't had the chance to try out other locations, but this particular branch puts on great classes and the instructors are all very talented. I attend many of Jenny's classes (TRX, BodyPump, Cycle, Basic Core) and have often brought friends along with me and everyone loves them. Being a former athlete, I could immediately tell Jenny had been a sports coach in the past... and a great one at that. She sets the pace to motivate and push you, while still bringing a fun fiery spirit to the class. She knows her stuff and she will work alongside you every step of the way... and she's funny. I truly can't say enough great things about the woman or her classes. If you haven't joined yet, get a guest pass and try out a few classes!

I went here yesterday so excited to sign up and me and friend were so angry when we left the guy in the front desk he was so not helpful, very rude , he just seemed like he hated his job he was so negative about everything, he was terrible, bad customer service .

The management stinks. This gym is pretty tiny, but they do what they can with the space, and its unfortunately one of the better Y’s in the area. They’ve gotten better about letting members know when events are happening in some of the bigger spaces, like workout rooms, but still have a long way to go with communications on closures. The biggest perk is the classes available — the class coordinator is awesome.

People are really friendly here. The Y is a community-oriented place, and the people at the front desk like Tony welcome both new and current members!

Anyone may visit as a guest of a member 5 times in a calendar year. After 5 visits that would have to pay the day use fee.
The Y does have circuit weight machines as well as cardio machines like treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals.
Circuit Exercise equip.?
Yes, they are individual stalls.
Yes they do
There is a mobile app where you can load your pass as well
Absolutely. You provide your own lock Vic C
The monthly fee is $65. There is a $95 initiation fee, but they offer promotions. You could probably talk them out of it. There is no pool at the Richmond YMCA, but both the Presidi and Stonestown YMCAs have pools. Your membership allows you to go to any YMCA.
