L.A. Family Housing has funds available at this time only for they're Rapid Rehousing Program. This requires that you do have a provable income. Because ad Greg said above, they will help with first, last, security eyc. And then continue to assist for up to one year. But in that one year time you have to be able to take over the rent on your own. Im not very happy with L.A. Family Housing at the moment. My husband and I were both participants in their project room key program. First they made up a story of how I hit my husband and called it a domestic, then making me move to a site on the other side of town. I never hit my husband and he will be the first to tell you that. He wa3snt even home on the day they said it happened. In the process of me moving, I lost a ton of my personal belongings due to theft on thier part. They refused to even look for any of it. Itemized lists, multiple phone calls, and several in person visits to look for my things and not ONE of them...not one employee
Hi Depends on the area you live in the LA county you can go to the work source center to speak with a gain worker or LA family housing they can help you with down payment and first couple of months of rent. She would just have to prove that she can pay her rent after they help.
