Great organization they really give 100,% of them selves to help get you off 5he streets and out of being homeless. Its a process and it takes time and they don't forget about you. You may think they do but they haven't they are just waiting just like you for the right information or a bed to become available and then they get you in somewhere. I have one particular person who has been a big help to me in this last past year to get back on my feet after being homeless myself. His name is Joey he is an angel over there at LA Housing in North Hollywood on lankershime

Do NOT give donations to this organization... They DUMP people on your door step, and your left with people who dont work sleep all day, or sit around your house. This is not helping people. They are teaching people not to work and live for free. The people they leave behind can even pay rent on time, they dont pay the late rent fee. DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY IN YOUR HOME !!

Wow! I'm reading so many reviews written by entitled folks who seem to think the world owes them a living. Truth be told....LAFH wants to help those in need, but gratitude and persistent communication goes a long way. You need to stay on top of it with your worker, but ALWAYS remain calm and grateful. They ALL are overloaded with caseloads, some even more desperate than yours. If I had not been persistent, I might still be living in bridge housing. But that was not the case. I was moved from bridge housing to my new apartment after less than 2 months. I have been living in my new apartment for over 4 years now. Because of the mental and physical health challenges many tenants suffer from, it's not the perfect place to live. To be honest, I almost moved on, but then I decided to stay, at least until I can find a place where the staff is just as caring and efficient as the people here at my current building. I couldn't be more grateful for what's been handed to me. I understand what it means to be homeless, but that's all behind me now. I can't imagine having been afforded this opportunity had I been as entitled and ungrateful as some of the people writing some of the reviews. Shame on y'all. Perhaps if you had a little compassion for the people at LAFH, who work long hours and often go beyond the call of duty to help your sorry soul out of your current dilemma, you'd be more kind with your words. Thank you to everyone at LAFH.

I worked on the campus for two weeks for a project. During that time Ive met almost all the people who work here - their heart and dedication is evident. Like that care you get from really devoted teachers. Can't say enough good things about my experience here.

All old postings. No one will help not even the church'sAll of these postings are years old. Nothing current. Am I the only one who sees this? I am literally on the street. How about that. Also they said to me that they are only helping families right now.

This facility is more for families/adults who are homeless they pay for a hotel for everyone to sleep and stay and will help with payment Up to 4 months once you find an apartment.
We unfortunately are only able to offer services to people are living in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys of Los Angeles County. If you are living outside of this area, we suggest you contact the local homeless services provider in your area.
I do young lady and u are welcome to call me and see IF I can help
Yes. I worked there for over a year as a housing navigator. Currently, many participants are awaiting emergency housing vouchers after their navigators submitted applications on their part. Otherwise, your navigator can secure either HACLA or LACDA voucher applications for you. But as you know, the waiting takes years!! But as part of their "no housing barriers" agenda, they will bend the rules in order to find you housing so I would ask to complete an application with a navigator, then have them secure housing so you can later obtain the voucher down the line given approval. Also, you have to be determined as literally homeless to qualify for agency services. Good luck.
Yes! Come by to 7843 or 7817 lankershim and they will accept your donations of blankets. Thats one of the top needs right now!
I believe they would but if you don't have any where to stay while they get around to you, you'll be I a bad place to be
Maybe you should just go there. We did a walk in. If they give you a problem, ask to speak to a supervisor.
Solomon, you have to call and get an appointment to be seen. Jonathan they do have programs but you have to do lots of paper work.
You got become homeless in North Hollywood area for them to help you and it's s nice place for family's so if u go there tell them that where u became homeless.hope all work out with u and son.
LAFH is a program specifically designed to help the homeless obtain emergency shelter with the premise of finding permanent housing by section 8 voucher or county voucher which is good for your entire life.If you want a helping hand to help lift you out of the street, this is the entity that does just that. I suggest you call them and make an appt.its the best move a addict in the sreet can make...ya know, other than repenting and turning your everything over to the lordf whose name is JESUS CHRIST !AMEN!
Yeah as long as there's a bed available.... should let u right n
I have no idea. Call 211 and maybe they can help. There has got to be help. Our heavenly Father will for you is all good. Amen, and so it is.
Yes you can
Yes and they will you and her baby
They will help u out it will take time
If you are a resident at LA Family Housing, and you are coming from work it can be authorized by the staff and security. Have your boss write a short letter about your hours at work.
Exactly. Get your facts straight. Or keep negative comments to yourself.
Pure luck totally
No, been looking for housing for my son, he's homeless
Yes they do allow pets and yes they have to be service animal's
L.A. Family Housing has funds available at this time only for they're Rapid Rehousing Program. This requires that you do have a provable income. Because ad Greg said above, they will help with first, last, security eyc. And then continue to assist for up to one year. But in that one year time you have to be able to take over the rent on your own. Im not very happy with L.A. Family Housing at the moment. My husband and I were both participants in their project room key program. First they made up a story of how I hit my husband and called it a domestic, then making me move to a site on the other side of town. I never hit my husband and he will be the first to tell you that. He wa3snt even home on the day they said it happened. In the process of me moving, I lost a ton of my personal belongings due to theft on thier part. They refused to even look for any of it. Itemized lists, multiple phone calls, and several in person visits to look for my things and not ONE of them...not one employee
To be honest theres programs for women im actually surprises how many really try to help . So if ur familar with the valley the a big for women with kids on the conor of saticoy and canoga i would go there and talk to some one
Someone with kids will get help quickly rather than a single person
Or try to get your doctor , social worker or phsyc to get you in.
Yes call them
If your homeless with child you will be housed immediately. Individuals have to wait.
If you have your I.D take it, that helps a little
I dont work for LA housing bro, I work for the company that provides medical and dental services for the homeless who have medi-cal. I spoke with my manager and he said the best thing to do is to go directly to the facility in person and ask them for the help you need. They will guide you step by step on your path to wellness brother.
Maybe try going down in person
They shouldn't be able to do that. You should contact the " neighborhood legal services" they are in pacoima but call them and they can help you. Just tell them what la family housing said. I used to stay there until I got housed
I have no money for my rent and I have nowhere to go

They say right away. They don't turn anyone down. I don't know about Section 8, but they have in residence housing there at the premises and it's mostly pretty long term families included. You can just go there to start. You can get good also. Hope this helps.
Go to the family solution Center (FSC) at 7843 Lankershim. You can walk in.
Most likely they will go in and find out.
You would probably be better off calling DPSS and asking about the rapid rehousing program. Are your kids minor children? If so LAFH can help you. Good luck.
Its only for adults.No childrens.
It depends on the wrong doing. Just talk to the person over you're case. They're in the helping business. Fixing HOMELESS situation. You need your id, ssn, children ssn maybe birth certificates too. If you don't have any one ask for the duty worker and speak to them. They will direct you to the right person to HELP you. God Bless.
Good Luck

What do you mean sweetie? Look for what? Maybe you should go see your worker, or their supervisor. If it is an apartment you're taking about, I'd go there, and wouldn't leave until someone assist me. Be persistent. And pray.
