Weight varies from Airline to Airline and it depends also on the type of ticket you bought. Example first class have different weight limits than economy class depending on which airline you take. Check the airline you want and it will tell you about your weight limitation.
It depends on your airline, each Airline has a different limit for different classes. I don't think you can pay for extra weight though.
