Once you complete the 8 hour training with American Training Academy.You’re instructed to go to their referred Live Scan person or you can choose to go to your own Live Scan person of your choice. Which is your background check, submitted along with your application for security. If you don’t have the security application. They’ll just maybe charge you $1.00. Or just give you one. Once your live scan clears it is automatically sent to BSIS (Sacramento,CA). Which is the place that “gives you your guard card”. I received mine in the mail in about 3 weeks.
