The state park has camping, and there are several other parks also with camping
If you are there for the astronomy then camp on the astronomy field. No campfires and red flashlights only. And yes, don't leave food out so as not to attract bear.
Lyman Run is 6 miles down the mountain. Lake you can swim fish boat. Clean bathrooms hot showers. Been here going again in August for the meteor showers. Staying at Lyman Run. Enjoy!
There are a good amount of bears in the area as well. You may want to keep that in mind
You might be able to pull along alongside a ride somewhere , but if dcnr catches ya, I'm not sure. To camp at cherry springs really isn't too expensive, and it's so beautiful at night.
