Hi! I am not any kind of astronomer but my boyfriend loves space and astronomy so he would love it! But my question is, is early June a nice time to just stargaze and see great things with the naked eye?

It called a new moon( little or no moon at all) it's near the first of the month this summer , also you need a clear or mostly clear night

It's more about the phases of the moon , if you go during a full moon it's pointless, wait until the no moon phase and you will be able to see much more, also take account to the weather for clear skies
