Wednesday and Saturday mornings until noon are free for residents of St. Louis, as long as you can show proof like with your drivers license.
Also free if you have reciprocal membership from another Botanical Garden in the American Horticultural System. (I am a member of the San Antonio Botanical Garden.)
Ok Saturday and Wednesday mornings are free till noon. Kids under 3 are always free. General admission is $6 for St. Louis city and county residents and $12 for non-residents. Event pricing is different. There are also yearly memberships available for really reasonable costs if you visit a lot.
After that, it's just $12 for adults. Children 12 and under are free.
The Zoo & Art Museum are free. The Gardens are worth admission prices especially for events.
