My understanding is that minors cannot get tattoos in Oregon, even with consent from parents
I think that is correct as far as tattoos are allowed. That is something that will be permanent on a child for the rest of their life and I don't think that parents should have the right to influence such a thing on to a child and that they should wait till they're an adult to make that decision because their life is being put before then and anything they put on their body could potentially jeopardize their future to what they put on their body. Although I am all for tattooing and all that art stuff and I enjoy it a lot there are some things I did as a child that I wish I didn't and I think this is why I should be taken to heart and let your child wait a little while. There is another way to get around it but that's to see an unlicensed tattoo artist new but if you don't know anything about tattoo art I wouldn't recommend it because if you run into a person who does not use clean sterile equipment you could risk a hepatitis infection or a blood-borne pathogen problem
As far as i know, yes. My friend got a tattoo at 16 in corvallis with parental permission.
