I believe the Beachcomber can validate your parking for up to 3 hrs. You should have time for a stroll on the beach. If you don't want to eat at the beachcomber then you pay parking per hr ($5) or per day ($15)
You can do whatever you want, they validate the parking ticket just make sure you don't go over the allowed hours or you will end up paying for parking.
