Is it good place to go with family and kids?

I agree..my boys loved going to Ricks, by boat and by car. In fact just last week I shared a Facebook memory from 10 years ago. It was a picture of my son (who was 10 at the time) and I sitting at one of the outside tables at Rick's on the River. I brought my father-in-law there for lunch last month for the first time and he loved it too!!

Yes. Me my bro. And our 7 kids love going out there on boat and chowing down on some oysters, steamed shrimp and baskets of chicken and pizza

Sure... Pretty family friendly outside or in... 2 bars but lots of booths & other seating.
