PATH is able to come up with many reasons to keep homeless people homeless for as long as possible.
First, go to the case worker who's assigned to you. Maybe you feel very uncomfortable to do that, but that's just standard protocol. If the problem is still unresolved then speak to your case manager's supervisor. NOTE: be calm, respectful, kind because if not then no one might hear the complaint and then the problem will still be unresolved; be open to a fair resolution by accepting the best solution offered and be willing to peacefully negotiate what you hope to get from it. If you still feel unsatisfied, you have the right to make a formal written complaint and go through that process whatever that is. Beyond that, whatever the problem is, be respectful, kind, and peaceful. The desire to yell and scream will NOT help because staff WILL walk away and won't help. The saying "You catch more bees with honey than vinegar" applies here: it means being kind and peaceful talking with someone to get what you want than to be mean.
