How to make reservation at Kirk Cove Campground ? I’ve tried so many many times but all the sites had been fully booked before the time we’re allowed to make the booking (10am of the day 3 months in advance). I don’t understand how they can do it.

Kirby Cove Campground is one of the most difficult campgrounds to reserve in California. You need to know what you're doing and the trick to doing it. As a local, I am so sorry -- I can't tell you how to do it as that would really piss off a lot of locals.

We just happened to show up and received one of two sites left.

It's a mystery. I've only been able to book 4 times in the past 10 years.
