The appointment process is very confusing. I got a Real ID(not driver license) back in 2018, and now that I want to get a M1 License, it mistakes my previous ID with a driver license and thinks I want to renew it! how can I fix it?

Take a appointment for real ID or DL ( doesn't matter), and tell them when you are in their office. Just appointment is important to visit dmv office

I do believe but not sure that your ID# may also become your M1 lic #,also once you are at the DMV,FOR AN APT,YOU CAN EXPLAIN OUTSIDE WHILE IN LINE FOR APOINTMENTS TO AN EMPLOYEE OUTSIDE CONTROLLING ENTERY,AND THEY CAN REDIRECT YOU
