For the most part yes I think it's not as years ago.I make sure I don't have objects in the car that can attract attention lock it but I haven't faced trouble in the area and I hope I won't in future . there is more traffic - people on the streets due to the theater it's a nice place to be!
Yes, it is safe. I take my young kids and park at night. It's street parking and you have to follow regular rules of parking, like not leaving anything visible in your car and watching your surroundings.
I feel pretty safe walking around the neighborhood there. And I've been to the new Parkway quite a few times. As someone said it may not be as safe as the neighborhood was many many years ago. But I'm a small frame female and I feel perfectly safe walking to the venue on my car and vice versa in the evening
I have never had any issues in the 15 or so tonnes I have gone at night. Just take normal precautions like removing valuables from your car.

I go there a few times a month. I take BART, so I never worry about whether a car is safe or not. It's just a few easy blocks up Broadway to 24th. Broadway is a main street with lots of traffic, so that's not a problem. At night the streets are lit and there's still people around, going to restaurants or the Paramount.
