They have an incredible selection of comics and a good amount of games. It was a test of willpower not to buy so many things. They seem to have something for everyone - kids, teens, adults. I appreciate that they had lgbtq themed comics, albeit a seemingly tiny section in the very back - maybe there were more selections throughout? In any case, definitely check this place out.

This used to be THE spot to go in Piedmont. So many hours (and dollars) spent here over the years without a single regret. I'm not sure what happened to this place, but I don't think I'll ever be back. I came in here with a buddy to spend some time talking shop and buy some books and figures when one of the employees asked us to put masks on. I pointed out that there was no mandate anymore and hadn't been for months. They told me that individual businesses can still enforce their own mask mandate if they wanted to. At that point we just left, we'll take our business elsewhere. Why would you want to mandate your customers wear masks? You don't want your customers to have an enjoyable experience in your shop? You just want to punish them like some kind of sadist who gets off on creating misery? I could see if there was a mandate in effect that they had to abide by, but this was a policy of their own choosing. Most businesses celebrate when pandemics end and mandates are lifted, but this place wants to get upset that things are back to normal? I don't get it. If you're looking for awesome comic shops, try Crush Comics in Castro Valley or Flying Colors Comics in Concord. Either one will give you a much better experience than this place sadly.

This is hands down my favorite board game store. Every person is able to give really great recommendations— whether it’s “I need a game for my parents who don’t like boardgames”, “I’m looking for something new for my boardgame group and we already love ___”, or “I need something work-appropriate that can play 8 people” (all of which I’ve asked and they delivered). They also have really cool D&D dice, including some experimental cheesex sets that are still in beta! Overall, just a really fantastic store.

The staff is super sweet I love the lady who was working in the back. The zines are so cool and there was a big spidey. Also a lot of pins, figurines, games, comics of course

No, they don't. But there is a comic shop in El Cerrito that does.
Best is to call them directly. (These questions go out to general Google Maps users.)
What volumes are you looking for?
A mask is required, and there is a hand sanitizer station right inside the door we require all customers to use prior to entry. We limit the number of customers to 10 at a time, and close the door when we are at capacity. We take this pandemic quite seriously, and are actively doing everything in our power to ensure a safe shopping experience.
we have some of the figures in stock, but mostly we have the comic volumes
We're only looking for comics from the 1930s until about 1975 (so $0.10 cover price to about $0.40 cover price). Anything past that date range we'll take a look at, but no guarantees.
Probably
