My son is merely going to Moscow to change planes there and return to the USA. The flight is from Dusseldorf to Moscow with a (1 & 1/2 hr.) layover whereupon he must take a different plane back to LAX airport. Does he need a VISA for this? 2/22/19

Hi, thank you for your inquiry, if your son is not leaving the plane then you do not need a visa, just a valid US passport will suffice.
