Keep in mind that even if they hit the 200000 mark, the full credit would apply for the remainder of that quarter and the quarter after that. This means if they hit the 200000 mark in q2 the full tax credit would be available until the end of Q3

Make sure to check out the new tax implications regarding these types of vehicles. High taxes...no fuel tax, so government has to get it somehow. Especially in California.
The expectation is that Tesla will meet this limit around July 2018.
No one knows. If Tesla projected output were on track which have not been repeatedly, that threshold would be this year 2018.
