Swimming is not safe or allowed at 100 Old San Gabriel Canyon Road due to location below dams. There are locations where swimming is safe and accessible in the Angeles National Forest above the dams. The Oaks Picnic Area is a popular destination.
It's more like for little kids to get wet but adults still do get in the water it reaches around the waist.If your planning on going make sure you leave early because it does get packed that's if you want to get a good spot.
