It has been discussed repeatedly and the answer always is there would be not enough visitation to keep it open. You're welcome to call the office 814 755-3512 and express your desire for it to stay open. It definitely would help if you mentioned all the work we have done out there this fall.
There is a gate that closes access to the campground.
The sign says at the end of the season the water and power is shut off so you can camp there for free through the winter in the offseason but there are no services
