Canopy área has a posting with a phone number you call to reserve.. everything else is first come first serve.

So. I know the bench areas are first come first serve... So get there early to set up. And I think the covered area, with the canopy needs a city permit. I've never used the canopy but I've planned birthdays and showers there in the bench area without the canopy with no hassle.
