Can I pay for parts ( like a back wheel and cone wrench) with volunteer time? I am quite good at bike repair and or advise.

Volunteer time is generally done in exchange for stand/tool time and not parts. If you communicate your budget we can work with you to keep essential parts affordable.

As a drop-in volunteer you get free stand time (use of tools and assistance from the volunteers) but you can not trade your time for parts. If you become a regular volunteer you get a monthly credit that can be spent on used parts.

Disclaimer: I'm not a volunteer. From my understanding of their system, back wheel=yes, cone wrench=no
