I worked for IHSS for 13 years and retired 3 years ago. What was my position? I worked with a person with disability and who is the supervisor? Thank you.

Marilyn, if you worked for IHSS taking care of someone, then you were called a Care Provider and your supervisor was the person that you took care of, called the Consumer.

The difference is I'm an emergency on-call worker for Public Authority IHSS. I make a regular a few dollars here and there over the minimum wage and can make up to for hazard pay it's 23 an hour. They assign clients to us that are seriously in need, also the assignments can last anywhere from one day or more depending on the seriousness of the clients need until they find their permanent provider. The supervisor is Irina. Very nice lady she rocks! I love my job. I love it there, they're good people to work with and for. Plus it's a higher pay rate LOL! Hopefully that answers your question. Have an awesome day. Kari D.
