Does the city receive any revenue from expired registrations?

I was walking my dog and the street we were on had at least 19 vehicles with expired tags. The oldest was from January. I was flabbergasted. Most were newer and not junkers.

Very little iit is a 50 dollar fix it ticket if you get the vehicle registration up to date it becomes a 10 dollar ticket after the cost of admission all is pretty much gone . now if it is out of registration more than 6 mo and 1 day it is a automatic tow and notification is not necessary .
