Watched the Sargent assault a person on video. Another officer witnessed it and didn't anything. Police corruption is rampant in this department.

Car got broken into in front of my daughters house, called Antioch non emergency police number - lady asked if I knew who did it, I told her no, she said since no suspect information, I have to file online. WTH - they don’t come to your home anymore? So I guess I should be happy it wasn’t my home - because most people don’t know who robs their homes - what does the police department do?

My mother and I had been threatened and assaulted by a man in the slatten ranch target parking lot after he almost hit her with his car. I called 911, got a snotty operator asking if i was 100% sure he really assaulted us and had to wait 45 MINUTES for officers to arrive. The man had already taken off by the time officers got there and had no lisence plates on his vehicle that I could take a picture of. By the time the officers were on scene, the one we spoke to had told us that there was nothing he could do and that my mother and I should be thankful to have our lives because "in this day and age we don't know what people are carrying." This is where our tax money goes people. Ladies you're better off learning how to/protect yourselves, because you sure as heck can't even rely on THE POLICE/LAW THAT OUR TAXES PAY FOR to help you.

Local municipal issues are in the hands of the mayor, council, maybe governor. If you want stuff to happen in Antioch or the county, contact them directly. Personally, I am upset at the signs saying “donate to charity instead of panhandling” since that money could have been used to establish a local charity, for example. Definitely want to let the city know that’s BS.
Abondoned cars an private property is tasked by code enforcement , abondoned auto or parking enforcement can only handle cars in the street , i cant comment on code enforcement requirements
Comparatively to most other surrounding areas of Antioch it is quite mild.

I was walking my dog and the street we were on had at least 19 vehicles with expired tags. The oldest was from January. I was flabbergasted. Most were newer and not junkers.
