You can see the boilers from an observation deck above the engine room. Perhaps you can ask for special permission to see it closer. Call them and ask.
I agree with Dan. Give them a call for permission to get up and personal!
Yes they do have a lot of doors blocked off you can't get in there but you can still see the engine room from the upper decks
Yes you can see the engine room. If you have questions simply ask the crew on duty.
From what I could see, they block off all below deck area's.
