Has anyone received a dishonored check letter from the department of motor vehicles? It seems really weird to me because my bank does not show over draft or delinquent charge.

Could be a scam. Check with bank and then the DMV.. Usually they run it 2 times and also state debit card is preferred.

As embarrassing as it may sound ,this could be due to lack of funds in the account. Verify that your check book is updated if you changed accounts or such, other than that this is not because of the DMV but more with your bank.
