Is fishing year round? Do you need license to fish here?

Yes fishing is year round & yes you need a Fishing License.

Always get a license for fishing. It is a shame if you get a ticket for not having a license for fishing!

There are two free fishing days. This year it's July 1st and September 1st. Those are free fishing days for the whole state of California. No license required on those dates
