They're dogs all over, everytime I'm there. My friend brings his also. But little dogs have problems traversing larger river paths. Also, be aware of mountain lions. Someone at the base office said they saw one when I was there earlier this year. So be careful with wondering dogs. But I feel like your going to want your dog off the leash to make your own travels easier.
