A more extended answer is this. Ask yourself: how fit are you? The number of weeks X fitness level X Dr's opinion (if what your Dr says is taken to heart). Consider that crossing the river has rocks and due to the water and typical chemicals both man made and naturally occurring, the rocks are slippery so also consider balance. It's a beautiful place to walk around in. And for your pets, as long as they can behave off-lease, it's also a good experience for them, too. It's not completely covered with rivers, streams, waterfalls. It's excellent for hiking as there are established trails, or make your own. There are areas per your own fitness level. Common sense and good judgement are a must. Come prepared for the length of time intended to visit, time of year, the expected weather forecast, as well as comfortable shoes and clothing plus sufficient water. Cellphone service, irregardless of the carrier, may or may not work because it is located in a canyon.

I do not think it is advisable for pregnant women since it can slip on the rocks

That's a very hard question to answer. If the pregnant woman is otherwise relatively fit...And 3rd trimester or so.... Ummmm.... Challenging? maybe. Impossible? probably not.

The challenge is crossing the stream a number of times on makeshift wet rock stepping stones for anyone with balancing problems. If that applies then don't go.

I would think so, but every one is different.
