A $5 weed eater will most likely be less reliable. FYI - we test all used electronic, mechanical and motorized products before placing them on the sales floor. For this question, a price that's too low might be indicative of a product with low remaining value? We want to be known for providing products priced fairly with value. A product that normally retails new for $150 and with a resale price of $5 would typically be purchased by a person who might consider salvage value for parts or has a deeper knowledge of repair beyond the ordinary.
