I have AF-S NIKKOR 28-70mm 1:2.8 D lens . It dropped and now hard to focus . Can you fix this lens ?
We will need to take a look at it to make sure it can be removed without damaging the filter threads on the lens. If it can be removed safley, the charge will be $35. Depending how busy we are when you drop it off it can take anywhere from an hour or you may heve to leave it overnight. please call the store and talk to a member of our sales team if you have any questions.
Thanks for the replies. With my favorite lens in jeopardy, I quite naturally did some digging around and found a tool called a Lens Thread Vice from Neewer. This cost about $29 and in combination with a 6" rubber strap wrench, I was able to pop free the broken filter and turn it free by hand afterwards. No damage to the Lens and none to the camera after the mishap. One 82mm filter casualty.
Yeah cannon rings are built sturdy its best to take it to san jose camera agreed. And a 24 to 70 mm lens may not be an to expensive to fix they may even show you how to fix it yourself and what to buy at the store to get it done
Your best bet would be to take it to them. If anyone can fix it....they can. They are honest so you don't have to worry about getting taken advantage of. you'll be in good hands
