do you think traditions should allow a gift card to used for tipping, current policy seems to not to allow gift card money to be used as a tip. With a 100 dollar gift card for dinner and a balance of 20 dollars after dinner, what would you do

Is not cash spent on purchasing the gift card, Cash, which should be treated as legal tender, for all debts... Unless of course restaurants print their own legal tender. Anyway, it makes me not accpet gift cards, nor shall i offer them as a gift anymore. Rediculous they sell such a product.

I believe that is a typical gift card policy for restaurants. Remember when tipping your wait staff that the wait staff had nothing to do with creating the gift card policy, so tip them kindly. :)
