I don't know. I haven't had good luck trying to do DMV transactions like that. I would call the membership number and confirm. I have done a number of DMV transactions at AAA that have required me to make a second trip, sometimes with a 3rd party or the card holder involved in the transaction.
Yes she can pick up the tags just give her your AAA card and she'll handle it the same transaction as if you were going to do it should not be a big problem
I picked up my mother's for her. Brought in her auto club card, the registration slip and cash. I had no problem at the West Covina branch.
