I need to give my daughter my old car, but I could not find the title. What shall I do? and if I have to go to DMV for that, shall I call for the appointment? Thank you,

All registration related items I go to AAA it’s 1000x better than the DMV. Take proof of Id and registration for the vehicle. Let them know you need a copy of the title. I believe there’s a small fee (mine was waved due to death of a family member) but it was roughly around 20$. But it has to be mailed to you. It comes within 2 weeks. After you receive the title you can do a family title transfer. They have he forms online if you want to do them ahead of time.( I suggest doing this) when transfering between family members there are no fees for the actual transfer. If you make an appt just remb to bring those things so you don’t get there to be told you need to come back. Hope this helps.

Call DMV for appt., then ask the question at that time. Good Luck.
