The barrels for bulk bird seed are mostly empty. Yesterday the thistle barrel was empty as well as others. If they are not maintained with seed why have them?

Because the prices are so good on the bulk seed it's very popular and goes fast at times. Yes they do run out but you just need to stock up more seed at home so that you do not run out.

So, why go to your store for bulk seed because it sounds like the barrels will be empty 50% of the time. Poor way to run a business.

It's like any store. Rather then keep a full back room they order what they need. Sometimes the order comes in later than expected.
