The adoption fee covers spay or neuter, shots, microchip and I believe licensing. Some times they have specials on certain breeds or days.
As stated above ypu can adopt for a fee
They don't sell dogs, but you do adopt them for a fee that covers the cost of care while in the shelter.
And it is a great place to choose a dog, with great staff of caring people.
