This facility is very well run and kept clean. They have empathetic staff and are capable of handling any situation. We brought in a hamster for his final hour and they took care of him like he was a family member of theirs. Days later we were sent a sympathy card with his little feet imprinted on it. We were not expecting this and it was very heart felt. Thank you to the staff for caring so much; even for a small rodent, that meant a lot for my kids and I.

I had a horrible experience with this office! If you ever have a stray animal DO NOT turn them into the animal shelter!! It won’t benefit the animal at all. I turned in a black cat and she was pregnant and was wounded. I called later and found out she was let go TWO days after I turned her in and I later find out her baby kittens were killed and she was fixed! I’m still in so much shock how they were able to let her to go into the streets to fend for herself after having a major surgery without any recovery time!! I am disgusted on how this poor cat was treated that we even tried to go find her and I wasn’t able too! I cried for days! You should be ashamed of yourself for not treating cats correctly!!! I will NEVER turn in an animal to the animal shelter again!!! I wonder if the cat was able to survive on her own without her stitches being healed and I’m sure she was still in pain and she was just let go like that! That’s horrible!

I went with my daughter and grandchildren and her dogs to do a meet and greet the other day. The office ladies were very nice. We left with a beautiful puppy. Right now adoptions are free. Go meet your best friend ❤️ they're waiting for you.

We have adopted two dogs from the shelter. It is truly a wonderful shelter. Both dogs were well taken care of. The most recent adoption was named John at the shelter. We changed his name to Sierra Padre. I want to thank the shelter for bringing Sierra into our home. Sonja Dohse, Mill Valley, CA.

We are closed from 1-2 for lunch. We are not the SPCA in Vacaville. Our number is 707-784-1357. We are open 10am-6pm Tuesday through Friday. Saturday 9am-5pm. All days closed 1-2 for lunch. Closed sundays and Mondays.
If you go there you can see they are often overwhelmed helping people who are there in person. Try calling close to when they open.
Any time they are open. The shelter is closed mondays.
It’s kind of a red flag to surrender an animal and then suddenly want them back.. what’s stopping it from happening again..
an officer picked up a sick stray. i called in and they said the soonest i could call in for adoption would be the 16th. so exculding the weekend i would ssy about 4 to 5 days. the adoption fee is 120
Adoption costs include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip&county license.
My mom's ex husband brought a female dog home. We already had a male dog, they had 2 male puppies. They got out and they charged us $175 just for our male dog, so mom and her puppies stayed at the shelter. We got a phone call telling us, that our female dog was pregnant again and went ahead to terminate her pregnancy because "she wasn't that pregnant " whatever that means. So all 3 dogs were spayed/neutered, which is nice. BUT my mom was called and said if she didn't come get them they would be euthanized. So, my mom went to go n get her dogs. As she had already grown fond of them, she is no longer with her husband but kept her doggies to this day still has her dogs 😂
Last time I picked up my friends dog at Contra Costa Animal Shelter who had been there 2 days cost me $159.00
I believe so....lunch 1 to 2 pm. I think it says on their recorded phone message?
The adoption fee covers spay or neuter, shots, microchip and I believe licensing. Some times they have specials on certain breeds or days.
Give us a call during regular business hours. 707-784-1356
Come on down to the shelter, we have lots of additional lost pet resources.
I think you do in whatever county you live in yes.
I do believe that they offer that service but not too sure. If you google them, you can check on their site. It's very informative
Come in person to the shelter or check out how to online at www.petdata.com
I’m not quite sure your question?
They don't sell pet food.
Yes
I have never heard of that
They are there to help. Call and give them the situation you have and find out what procedures they have for older animals. ( adoption) or medical care.
Give us a call and we can explain further. 707-784-1356
Not sure we adopted our kitten in Sept paid $31 for fees plus was fixed and most of his shots
Both are allowed. Solano county doesnt have banned breeds. In fact...I adopted my oversized 65 pound lap dog pitty mix from them. 10/10 will adopt from them again when i am ready.
The sign on the gate clearly marks all hours of operations, including closed from 1pm-2pm for lunch.
$150, puppy is under 6 months of age
Yes, I believe. Please go or call the Clay Bank office for the hamsters. Thanks for help.
Your probation officer could hook you up with some community service gig
Have you tried to call them about getting the 🐕 back. I would start with them with a call.

Yes. All animals up for adoption are fixed.
No
Yes, the dogs can be checked for chips. Thank you for helping the dogs!
NO I DON'T THINK SO. JUST CALL AND FIND OUT. SORRY.
CALL AND FIND OUT SOMETHING DIFFERNT ALL THE TIME. AND CHECK OUT VALLEJO.
Maybe if my puppy was lost for a month and when they found him then they told me
Never to make room! The only time they will put an animal to sleep is if their behavior is too volatile to safely adopt or if they are critically ill. I foster for them and had a kitten that had a bladder blockage and the shelter spent $600 to save him! Even their feral cats that cant be adopted to a family are put into a barn cat program! Our shelter is amazing
YES IT IS AND THERE VERY GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO. GOOD LUCK .
Go to the shelter, into the office, they will help you.
Also, many vets are helping all over north bay.
