They needed to remodel because the place is old and out dated and always dirty. The food is not that great to be honest...I have lived in Reidsville most of my life and would rather eat at Short Sugars or Mayflower..
Didn't know they were remodeling. Next visit to eat in Reidsville, stop in at Sophisticated Soul, 301 SW Market St. You will be very happy you ate there.

Sophisticated Soul (especially the cornbread) much, much better. Food at Sophisticated Soul is actually fresh... it doesn't taste un-seasoned and out of the can like Sanitary Cafe. Back in the day they had great pancakes... last visit I wrote a review based on previous visits. They have gotten pretty bad. I don't eat there anymore.
They were open on the 2nd haven't been by there since
New owners there went down hill my sister and husband got orders too go got home 8 miles from town to find out they had wrong food
